Description

PPLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BEAUTIFUL "BUTCHER COVER" PROFESSIONALLY PEELED !!

1966 first pressing with bold MONO mixes ...this is a HIGHLY collectible Original RAINBOW Capitol records BUTCHER COVER from 50 years ago...the MONO Butcher is getting hard to find in BEAUTIFUL- CLEAN PEELED "third state" ... the Butcher artwork is without stains, dirt, tears or soil making for an incredible investment/final collection "crown" Beatles collectible that will only rise in value as times goes by ...

NOTE: Cost is around $500 to have a professional PEEL your Butcher cover...with that in mind, it is far better to spend the money & have a professional do the involved task rather than trying to remove the trunk cover yourself. Many Butcher covers have been ruined when novice collectors attempted this highly difficult task ...When in doubt, our advice is : DON'T BUTCHER YOUR BUTCHER !!!

includes the original printed '66 Capitol Records inner sleeve AND::: a copy of the Capitol Records re-call letter that was sent out to media outlets....

By the time the Capitol Records released Yesterday And Today, the Beatles were in hot water in America. The record was released just after John's infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus", which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incinerations of memorabilia. But Yesterday And Today would take public dispproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher's smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them. The record was pulled almost immediately - creating an instant collector's item - and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued. Songs on the album were taken from the 'leftovers' of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the single/B-side "Yesterday/Act Naturally" (released on the UK version of Help!), the single/B-side "We Can Work It Out/ DayTripper", and three songs which had not, at that point, been released in the UK: "I'm Only Sleeping", "Doctor Robert", and "And Your Bird Can Sing" (which all wound up on the UK version of Revolver).

CONDITION: The coverNice = rated: "EX" (excellent) overall, the all important front "Butcher" cover is M- downgraded a bit to overall "EX" as there is spine wear -- no split seams and overall quite strong to the point of being a final collection copy. There is a bit of light age to the back cover (VG+) see photo, and again, the front Butcher cover is immaculately clean (M-) there are NO TEARS, no rips, no scrapes, no dirt, no soil, no stains = making for a BEAUTIFUL addition to any valuable collection....  perfectly peeled Butchers covers like this are very scarce with most copies being safely tucked away in private collections ... An obvious timeless investment item, overall strong appearance, has no bends, no seam splits, no writing & no delete marks... no one interested in, as a butcher cover, would put it down and that can be said with a good degree of certainty.

The vinyl is rated: "EX" (excellent) a very clean respectable platter , not requiring an upgrade -- will play with M- audio, even though (here) it's all about the butcher cover - as you know!  ... both 1966 ((mono)) RAINBOW Capitol labels are clean.

A cool addition to anyone's music library!
