Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Beach Boys Compact Deluxe 8 double EP, released circa 1967 In Japan on Capitol cat no CP 4327-8. A short-lived format, this double EP comes beautifully packaged in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with a 4-page lyric insert, and includes the tracks Good Vibrations, Dance Dance Dance, Sloop John B, Fun Fun Fun, Barbara Ann, Surfer Girl, Help Me Rhonda and Caroline No, all in stereo/duophonic. A very rare Japanese-only issue.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Condition: both EPs are in glorious condition, with no evidence of play whatsoever. The gatefold cover has some very minor handling marks, while the lyric insert is also in perfect condition. Certainly an EX/M- (cover/vinyl).
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings.
