'HELP!'
1969 UK **ONE EMI BOX MONO** PRESSING LP
**ULTRA RARE**
'Help!' was one of only three titles to make it onto the 1969 'One EMI box' label in mono. ('Please, Please Me' & 'Sgt Pepper' were the other two).
This short lived label design appeared at the end of 1969 until being replaced by the 'Two EMI box' design sometime around 1972/3.
Copies of 'Help!' in this format were very limited and sold virtually nothing, making them extremely difficult to locate in any condition.
This ultra rare 1969 MONO pressing is on the UK black & silver 'one box' EMI/Parlophone label PMC 1255
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with its original white 'Patents..' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2

Labels: VERY GOOD & VERY GOOD PLUS
A name is written either side of the upper box and within the '£' logo on side one. Side two is clean and unmarked.
Visual: GOOD PLUS
The surfaces are clean but show many surface marks and light scratches but nothing too deep or feelable.
However it lies100% flat on the turntable without any dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD
Despite the visual wear the audio quality remains very respectable.
Some 'ticks' are audible between a few tracks on side one but there are no serious audible faults.
All tracks play well without groovewear distortion, jumps or repeats.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A standard mono cover displaying moderate handling and storage wear but no major faults.
There is some light creasing to the front panel and some slight discoloration to the rear no writing anywhere.
All seams and the spine are undamaged and unsplit and there are no tears to any part.
