Over the past 10 days I have received no less than 62 emails from people

asking where are these items from, and why am I selling them. Most are 

inferring something must be wrong with these items. I`ve been accused 

by one nut of creating my own fake LPs and phoney matrix numbers. 

So under the advisement of a great seller from the USA who works out of 

California called rare4all 

(hes active right now so check Jerome`s auctions his stuff is TOP NOTCH),

(but with a heavy reluctance) 

here is the story. 

I started this collection as a kid in 1978. It has taken my lifetime

to build this collection to where it is now. Every Christmas, every occasion , 

every milestone birthday from then until now, my family would give me money 

for records.

I got jobs just to buy more records. Everything has always been 

about records. That was until 17 th Febuary 2013, when my son was in a 

terrible motorbike crash in Cambodia. He was left disabled but alive. 

Twelve months after that, my wife was taken very ill and that is enough about that. 

I had to become home nurse to the both of them, and juggled my business 

simultaneosly. 

But as they had both worked for me, it was just too difficult to carry on, 

work was too hard, the hours were just too long .So I had to let the business

that I loved, and spent 23 years building up, just go. I now work a lot less hours.

Earn a hell of a lot less money. But spend a lot more time with my daughter my 

son and my wife.

My son and wife are on the up and continue to fight the good fight.

With David`s recent passing, I have decided to sell my collection of this 

genious`s work. After all, my family have had a huge hand in building this 

fine collection with me . Its their`s as much as it is mine .These records 

have truly been my life`s treasures, but now, I need to raise as much money as I can. 

So I can spoil the PEOPLE, I truly treasure . 

And who can blame me ? So now you all know....

TO THE ITEM.

I have not a shaddow of doubt in my mind that this is the most highly desired

David Bowie collectable of them all. The BOWPROMO.

David Bowie sings all songs on side 1. The beautiful and massively underrated 

Dana Gillespie sings side 2 . This LP is well documented on many websites 

where they give detailed descriptions on the different song versions we have 

here, that never made it to the final cut of Hunky Dory. And in that, lies this 

rare items appeal to the serious David Bowie Collector. 

The song versions that appear on here are really different to those 

on Hunky Dory. I disagree with most of the websites that say one 

or 2 of these tracks are indenticle to the HD versions. 

The couple on here that are supposed to be the same, I think are a different mix. 

PROVENANCE.

IMPECCABLE BEYOND DOUBT.

As you can see clearly from the photographs . I bought this directly from the

wonderful blues singer on side 2, the great Dana Gillespie. The deal was brokered 

by her boyfriend Adam Kinn .Son of the late and great Maurice Kinn

(google that name). Maurice has probably done more for music than any individual

in the last 60 years. I met Adam in a bar at Piccadilly train station, money changed 

hands as did a record, and some amazing stories. Adam told me of his father`s work

with the Beatles , Stones , Sinatra, Elvis there seemed to be no end to the list of

huge stars Mr Kinn had worked with. A truly amazing man. Adam told me he 

rememberd the day this stack of Bowpromos arrived at the office courtessy of 

Mr Tony Defries. He was quickly told to bin the lot, but kept some back because

his girlfriend was on the B side. How many are out there ? Who knows 5 or 10 maybe?

In 38 years of collecting I have only seen 4 and one of them was knackerd.

CONDITION.

OUTSTANDING. 

MINT-

The sleeve has a few grubby marks in the top left corner (do they matter ?).

A few minuscule wispy paper marks from removal from its paper sleeve.

I always keep records in mastering sleeves this prevents marking the vinyl.

There is nothing that affects the listeners enjoyment and there is nothing

that interferes with the sound.Both sides shimmer like mirror when tilted

towards the light . The labels are beautiful and pristine and show about 3 

or 4 light spindle marks. This LP is in wonderful condition.

So there it is....
