rare UK first press vinyl 3LP set released in the 1950s on red/gold HIS MASTER'S VOICE label with catalognumbers ALP 1130-2. This set has the earliest matrixnumber (see details below) and the deep groove as only featured on very first pressings... The box set has the wider variation as was used with 78 RPM records in the 50s and has the typical signs of time. Vinyl with few marks here and there, but I playgraded with Ortofon SPU mono pickup and can confirm their are no skips with just the typical noise here and there, this set playgrades EXC to NEARMINT and it has clean labels - overall a fantastic first press collectible set! Collectors and audiophiles will know how impossible it is to find these early pressings in perfect MINT condition ... The soundquality and dynamics of these early pressings is absolutely amazing. Famous performance by Furtwängler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and State Opera Chorus recorded with stunning audiophile soundquality same as the famous Furtwangler Beethoven Symphony releases on the same label... see photos.
