Description
3 lp boxed set of Beethoven's 'Fidelio' with Wilhelm Furtwangler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera Chorus. Soloists include Wolfgang Windgassen, Martha Modl, Gottlob Frick, Sena Jurinac, Rudolf Schock and Alfred Poell. There is slight wear to the corners of the box (see photo) - otherwise box is in very good condition. Records are very clean and apart from a faint surface mark across side 6, which does not sound on my equipment, appear to be in very good condition. Leaflet is included.
(A personal note - I am selling this set for a lovely 95 year old neighbour of Jewish Austrian extraction . I think she has had this set from new in the 1950s. Sadly, her hearing is going.)
