Miles Davis - Sketches Of Spain
(Fontana TFL 5100 UK LP 1960)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has textured black & silver "Fontana" labels. The record has 1st press 1L-1/ 2L-2 matrix stampers. A classic early 1960's Miles Davis LP. This is a genuine UK Mono 1st pressing.
Sleeve: There is moderate fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There is an 11 cm intermittent strip of staining on the rear sleeve (see photo). There is a 3 cm seam split at the centre of the top edge. There is some moderate rubbing wear in that area too. There is mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. Overall, Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in very good++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & fading. There is a 3 cm seam split at the centre of one side, & at the top opening on the opposite side.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are 5 or 6 mild or very mild clicks near the start of Side 1. There are 4 or 5 mild or very mild clicks midway through Side 2. Overall, a very serviceable copy.
