For worldwide shipping costs for 1 to 7 records see further down the page. The more records you win the cheaper the postage. (Just like a discount). If you would like cheaper shipping see my eBay "me" page for further details.

I always keep "Proof of Posting" receipts. If an item is lost in the post I have to fill in a claim form to the Royal Mail. Unless you take out adequate insurance cover the maximum they will compensate is the value of the item up to 36GBP. They may deny responsibility if it is lost in another country. If in doubt it is always best to insure. Any item over 36GBP in value MUST be insured.

The records and sleeves are visually graded through magnifying glasses under a 100W lightbulb and then again in strong daylight (when we have it in the UK) and play graded if necessary on a GARRARD 4O1 turntable in a 30mm Slatedeck treble type spike isolated plinth on a Sound Organisation wall bracket with an Evolution Parallel Tracking Air Bearing Tonearm (reviewed in Hi-Fi World magazine June 2007) and a SHURE V15VxMR cartridge through a Mullard valved pre-amp phono stage and a Leak Stereo 20 Mullard valved Power Amp with Chord Chameleon Silver Plus cabling and Russ Andrews Yello power cables and bi-wired Celestion Ditton 44 Speakers through DNM Reson speaker cables.

GRADING<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

M = A 'Mint' record and sleeve has never been played, or played just once or twice on high end hi-fi equipment with up to one or two spindle marks only, and may still be in it's original wrapping.

M- = As above but with more than a couple of spindle marks. Or, may be MINT but just needs a clean to remove some surface dust.

NM = A 'Near Mint' grade record will have no marks on the vinyl, but maybe just needs a clean, has a crisp clean sleeve.

Ex = An 'Excellent' grade record and sleeve may have only a few light superficial surface marks and scuffs but no major scratches.

VG = A 'Very Good' grade record will have more or heavier surface marks and/or sleeve wear but should play without any major deterioration of sound quality.

G = A 'Good' grade record and sleeve has been played so often that there is noticeable deterioration of sound quality with possibly some distortion and mild scratches. The cover will be well worn and possibly torn.

+/- may be used with the above descriptions.

Some records in our catalogue are 50 years old or more and may need cleaning. We recommend that all records (even new ones due to the mould inhibitor and release agents used in manufacturing the discs) are professionally cleaned on a Moth, Nitty Gritty, Keith Monks, VPI or some other such machine.

We now have a Moth MKII and a Nitty Gritty 2.5Fi Record Cleaning Machines.

Just 0.99GBP per record.

Price includes a new top quality inner sleeve (you do not put clean feet into dirty socks).

I no longer use Surface Mail (N/A = Not Available) as too many parcels are being lost or delayed.

Any parcel containing 3 to 7 records (or 8 if under 2kgs) are sent in a cardboard box inside a mailing bag.

All the prices above are in GBP

ANY PARCEL OVER 2 KGS IN WEIGHT (NORMALLY 8 OR MORE RECORDS) HAS TO GO BY PARCELFORCE STANDARD OR ECONOMY SERVICE AT COST OR BY AIRMAIL SMALL PACKET IN 2 OR MORE PARCELS, OR BY FEDERAL EXPRESS OR DHL BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT.

BOX SETS WILL BE CHARGED AS FOLLOWS.....IF THERE ARE X RECORDS IN THE SET POSTAGE AND PACKING WILL BE CALCULATED AT X + 1 RECORDS TO ACCOUNT FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE BOX, BOOKLET, LIBRETTO ETC. (For example if it is a 3 disc boxset the shipping cost will be calculated at 3 + 1 = 4 LP's). If I have overestimated when I take the parcel to the Post Office then a credit will be given.

Registered post for UK customers is 0.72GBP extra.

Insurance for Airmail is available at an extra 4GBP for 36GBP of cover or 6GBP for 250GBP of cover for each parcel via the "Signed For" service. "Airsure" (a trackable service) may be available to your country for 5GBP on top of the airmail charge with 36GBP of cover or 7GBP for 250GBP or 500GBP of cover.

Superior Packaging

All of my single and double records are sent in dedicated record mailers or card mailing envelopes with 2 cardboard stiffners with the corrugated flutes at 90 degrees to each other for added rigidity, the vinyl is removed from the outer covers and placed in polythene sleeves. Muliple records (3 or more) or boxsets are sent in dedicated corrugated cardboard boxes and then, where possible, placed in a Postal Bag. Red "Fragile" stickers are used both sides plus senders printed name and address for security reasons.

If you request different or extra packing (which shouldn't be needed as my records are packed professionally) then I reserve the right to increase my packing costs which the buyer must pay. For example; if you have won 1 or 2 single lp's and you would prefer a corrugated box AND a postal bag please add 1GBP to the above shipping costs within the UK and 1.50GBP worldwide and notify me of your request.

Go to my website from my eBay page to view 1,500+ audiophile classical records (which have now all been sold) but will give you an idea of the type of records I stock.
