Description

NICK DRAKE - FIVE LEAVES LEFT ISLAND PINK RIM PRESS !   A3U/B3U MATRIX    Year:1969 Cat: ILPS 9105 On offer here is the first of Nick Drake's three classic albums, all of which I am listing close together to allow bidders a chance on all 3 or just the one you need! The unlaminated cardboard gatefold sleeve by Ernest J Day & Co is absolutely immaculate having been kept in a plastic sleeve by the original owner from new! The only incredibly slight signs of wear under strong light are a touch of rubbing through (on colour only) on the front bottom edge and a small crease about 1" long. Otherwise perfectly straight and crisp. Impossible to find  a better one. Rated EX+ Plain white Patent inner is flat with very slight browning and a few spots from storage. Graded EX-. The disc itself has R and A stamper codes at the 3 O'Clock postion.  Visually the vinyl has great gloss and is unmarked apart from a slight mark visible under strong light on part of Track 1/Side 1 and the odd storage spot on Side 2. We are being critical here! The Palm Tree labels are deeply coloured with no fading at all, just a few light storage spots on Side 2. There are no spindle trails showing this record has hardly been played! Visually graded EX. When played the sound is superb with just slight noise between tracks, mostly between tracks 1 and 2 on Side 2. Play graded EX.  I have been as critical as possible in describing this rare record!  Dont miss this one! The photos should show enough detail but please contact me if any more information is needed.    Watch my listings for more great psych/prog classics in the coming weeks by adding me to your favourite sellers!

    ------------------------------------------------------------

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
