THE BEATLES COLLECTION MFSL Rare JAPAN JVC PRESSED NEAR MINT LP BOX SET STUNNING
MFSL (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs) JAPAN PRESSED LP BOX SET -THE BEATLES COLLECTION - EACH LIMITED EDITION NUMBERED. OUT OF PRINT SINCE THE EARLY 80'S -- This set is edition number 12,944 of 25,000 numbered copies.
The Outer Box Cover is in NM Condition (but the metal hinges and latch do have a bit of oxidation from age). -- See pictures
The 14 VINYL records are all in NM condition (rarely played).
The Individual covers and inserts are in NM condition. -- See pictures
The GEO-DISC is in NM condition.
The Booklet is in NM condition. The white protective cover outside the booklet does have a few creases and a few spots but the booklet itself is in NM condition.
Notes
The Beatles: The Collection was a vinyl box set of every Beatles album remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records' submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo. Each album was pressed on virgin vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan ensuring the best sound quality possible. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection was all of the Beatles' singles that did not appear on their original UK albums.Contents:

Grade Scale:
(S) SEALED = VINYL assumed mint, never open.
(NM) NEAR MINT = VINYL nearly perfect, no obvious signs of wear. COVER should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes.
(VG++ or EX) VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS or EXCELLENT = VINYL almost NM but it might have a few more superficial signs of use and slight sleeve scuffing. COVER may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
(VG+/VG++) Between VERY GOOD PLUS and VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS = VINYL may have a bit more signs of use & scuffing than VG++. Surface noise will be more noticeable. COVER may have slight ring wear or discoloration. Very small seam split.
( VG+ ) VERY GOOD PLUS = VINYL may have scuff marks, very light scratches and signs of some wear and will have surface noise in spots, generally still has it's luster. COVER will have slightly more ring wear or discoloration. Minor seam split.
( VG ) VERY GOOD = VINYL has more noticeable scuffs and scratches. Surface noise will be noticeable (may crackle, pop or make other annoying noises), especially in the quiet areas. COVER has minor writing, tape or sticker, ring wear and more seam splits.
( G ) GOOD = VINYL may have multiple scratches or small gouge(s), may have continuous crackles, pops, significant surface noise. COVER has more than normal wear and tear.
