TONY SHERIDAN & THE BEAT BROTHERS (THE BEATLES)

"MY BONNIE"/"THE SAINTS"

DECCA 31382

This is the 1st time the Beatles appear on a record in the U.S., as a back-up for Tony Sheridan "The Beat Brothers"! Released April 23, 1962! ULTRA-RARE ORIGINAL PROMOTIONAL DJ COPY!  HISTORICAL PINK LABEL!  In March of 1962, Decca cut an acetate at its factory in Gloversville, New York with record number 31382.  "My Bonnie" was given file number DGG 66 833 (the record number of the British single), and "The Saints" was given DGG 24 673 (the record number of the German single). The promotional pink label (with black text) pressing of the 45 was made shortly thereafter at the Gloversville plant.  Gloversville labels have the record number, file number, and "Gema (AMRA)". These labels have the classic design from the '50s.  The matrix numbers are machine stamped: Side A - 45DGG66833A; Side B - 45 DGG24673B. Counterfeit copies exist but are easy to identify. They have "My Bonnie" on both sides, and the matrix numbers are written by hand. Play is outstanding and labels are stunning!  This is an extremely rare authentic copy in terrific condition.

Vinyl (and labels): NM (Near Mint)

(An original, intact, generic Decca sleeve without splits is included.)

Tony Sheridan spent much of his career in Germany, and died in 2013 after undergoing heart surgery.

The record is removed from the cover and placed in a double lined high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sleeve.  A deluxe quality mailer is used.
