Description

A genuine 1st pressing of RUBBER SOUL by UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/4. Famously - the very earliest 1/1 copies were referred to as 'Loud Cuts'. Parlophone moved to re-cut the album very early in the pressing run. Consequently the 1/1 copies are highly sought after for being 'first' and quite hard to track down in good condition. The next copies in the chain received the re-cut on only the one side [like this example] . These are the 1/4's and they are very early in sequence and probably rarer than the original 1/1's. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. AWESOME condition. Let me tell you - an original copy like this hellishly difficult to find. With original Emitex inner sleeve is 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A truly rare original in very very  nice condition. Excellent lustre.  A couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Plays a straight forward EXCELLENT or above level with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. No kidding...for '65 and Rubber Soul....this is highly impressive. Hardly any background...maybe the odd crackle in the occasional spot [Michelle]. But this copy really is acing in all areas. Rarely do you get to spin a copy this well preserved. Plays clean into al those fussy lowkey numbers. Very rarely have I witnessed such a good rendition on R Soul. It comes highly recommended for audio.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) In very very smart condition with a nice flat unfaded front. At worst a couple of light creases. The rear is looking very nice looking having avoided most of the usual ageing process. Flipbacks all in excellent order with just a touch of aging. Minimal edge wear and spine 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.

Emitex (Vg+) Some ageing. But no splits.
